“You shall love the LORD, your God, with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength.” Deuteronomy 6:6
The word of the oath, which was taken after the law, appoints a son, who has been made perfect forever. Hebrews 7:28
The first is this: Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is Lord alone! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these. Mark 12:29-31
Piety
Let us pray: Take from me Father, all that keeps me from you.
Give to me Jesus, all that leads me to you.
Set me free Holy Spirit, that I might give my life for you. Amen.

Fear the Lord…but do not be afraid. Contradictory statements...both statements are repeated many times in the Hebrew Bible and the Good News. Fear the Lord Your God. Do not be afraid. Fear not. Be not afraid.
God loves us so much that he wants nothing except for us to love him in return. He wants nothing to come between us in our relationship with him. Not money. Not material possessions. Not careers. Not family. Not fear. NOTHING.
This kind of fear has nothing to do with impending danger…but with averting problems in eternity if we do not do what God expects of us in this life.
Jesus died to atone for our sins, so he can rightly tell us that we have nothing to fear but the obstacles we will erect between us and God – our future sins. Jesus’ message to us today focuses on love, the greatest commandment and the theme of the Women’s 123rd Cursillo.
Luke’s Gospel passage also aligns with our tripod. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,(Piety) with all your soul, (Piety) with all your mind,(Study) and with all your strength.(Action) You shall love your neighbor as yourself (Action).
Action
Welcome the women of the 123rd Cursillo back into your community tomorrow. Help them to daily to practice the disciple of the daily tripod…pursuing piety, study and action.
