Jesus, Remember Me

By Phil Russell

Piety
Let us give thanks to the Father, who has made us fit to share in the inheritance of the holy ones in light. (Colossians 1:12)

Study
"JESUS, remember me when you come into your kingdom." (Luke 23:43)

Action
"I rejoiced because they said to me, we will go up to the house of the Lord." (Psalm 122:1-2)

"He is the image of the invisible God, firstborn of all creation…He is before all things, and in Him, all things hold together." (Colossians 1:12-20)

So, as we see JESUS standing before Pilate, dressed in purple, are we like the people in the crowd that cry out: "We have no king but Caesar, Crucify Him!"

Or, can we recognize this "broken one" bruised for our transgressions" and acknowledge him as OUR KING.

Aren't we living in a time and history, when it is all the more reason to acknowledge JESUS as our KING?

Isn't now, even more, a time to apply the adage "Make a friend, be a friend, and bring a friend to Christ?" Not just to invite someone to a Cursillo Weekend but, a way that we should be respecting each other as people who "live our inheritance" as "the holy ones in the light!"

The Jubilee Year may be at an end, but MERCY must remain and never leave us!   Lord Have MERCY!

Christ Jesus, Our King, Have MERCY!
